Foothold is a phone app that gives short, friendly English practice. It marks answers like an examiner, tells your teenager what they did well, and shows them exactly how to go up a step.
What it is
Practice that doesn't feel like being told off.
Many young people have heard for years that they're “bad at English”. Foothold is built to undo that.
Sessions are a few minutes. They can talk their answers instead of writing them. Feedback always starts with something they did well and never uses words like “wrong” or “fail”.
A short weekly update
One positive message, like “Jay did four questions this week and went up 2 marks.” You choose email or text, and you can turn it off. (Coming after the pilot.)
Safe and private

Cancel any time
Monthly, with no contract. Cancel in a couple of taps and you keep access to the end of the month you've paid for.
